Tales of Syzypense #3 final orders!

This newsletter’s namesake comic series, Tales of Syzpense, hits Final Order Cut-Off for issue 3 on Monday. So here’s both a final look at the covers and a couple interior pages each from Ashley Wood and TP Louise’s story, Les Mort 13, and also Dreamweaver by me and Nelson Daniel.

The series is 40 ad-free pages and so, after the third chapters of both of our 12-page tales, we’re adding in a fun little bonus story, too: a new 8-page Groom Lake story by Nelson and I. It serves as the lead-in to a Groom Lake sequel, Groom Lake: Grey Skies Above, coming next year, and features the return of lovably dense red alien Archibald (who you can spot in the corner box of Nelson’s homage cover below).

We’d been doing 4 covers per issue—2 by Ash, 2 by Nelson—but this one has one additional cover. In honor of The Walking Dead’s 20th anniversary, Image is doing line-wide variant covers celebrating the proper. Ash’s entry here is the wraparound cover below, which features both Lucille on the front and Negan (at least partially) on the back.

Neither the Walking Dead cover nor the Groom Lake story were added at time of original solicitations so if you like what you see here and want to make sure there’s a copy waiting for you next month, let your retailer know by Monday.
