Ramona was so utterly FANTASTIC! One of the greats, a giant. I was so lucky to grow up in the Silver Age and to see her gorgeous work in newsagent spinner-racks... Ramona and Bob Haney were an act to be reckoned with.

And, like you, I have really great memories of Paul Neary inking Alan Davis - so fluid and kinetic! Oh, man...

That’s very cool that you got to experience both of those artists on a regular basis. I came in a bit later, and was mostly just a Marvel kid to the early ‘80s, so it was only in the last decade or so that I really dug into work by both of them. Between their work and Nick cardy’s, I’ve added some great old covers that are entire new to me to the spinner rack.

I was a total Marvel Zombie, Chris, tbh. But I did pick up a few DC titles that caught my eye, usually the stranger, more off-the-wall ones like Doom Patrol, Metamorpho, etc. It wasn't until I was much older that I realised many of these had been written by Bob Haney. Ramona's style was very easily identifiable to me, even as a kid. A huge loss to our community.
