Shout out to Pacific Comics! Ah! I spent some of my youth in their LA warehouse ... it was a teenage dream ... and with the dealer's discount my uncle had? 10c each for 50c cover price comics??
Pacific was great--it was maybe the first publisher I ever read outside of Marvel and DC. Groo, The Rocketeer, the various horror titles like Alien Worlds, Twisted Tales and the Bernie series, plus cool oddities like Darklon the Mystic, Ms Mystic, and the Kirby stuff. Opened my young eyes to non-superhero comics.
The "themed comics spinner rack" sounds like a lot of fun. Reminds me of way back when Steven Grant had a column at CBR and he'd post comics covers with some sort of non-obvious common theme. PS. Have fun in Oz
I keep trying to whittle down my comic collection even as I keep grabbing random issues that might work for various cover themes, like "floating head" covers, photo backgrounds, and so on.
I loved Edward Gloom -- loved all of the DeMultiverse, so I’m glad to hear it’s moving forward.
It's not yet but we're hopeful it can. All five issues are draw, just need to figure out the right home for it.
That GLOOM GN looks great.
